Eeep Update!

So I realized its been a long long time since I posted an update. Mainly just been distracted with alot going on in real life and game, and not thought about this blog sadly. So now that im getting back to my free time I'm hoping I can get back to blogging. I also finally bought a copy of FFXI for my nifty new laptop. Now whenever I stop being lazy and buy a ps2 controller converter I'll actually play it on there. Because sadly I tried to learn how, and I dunno if its the almost 3 years of playing on PS2, or that I just suck, I cant seem to understand how to play on the laptop lol.

Lots of updates to make though since I last posted on here. Currently sitting in sky right now with my endgame ls, Lords of the Universe. And since im still trying to learn my way around, I figured I'd take the time to blog. So heres some the stuff happen:

~A good friend of my quit the game sadly :/ Though of course RL is always > than the game and he has a new married life to enjoy now. I'll miss him greatly. He was one the people inspired me to become a PLD and to hopefully someday play PLD as good as he did. Infact he actually helped me get my PLD AF in the Shitadel. We were there to 3 AM trying get key and then the coffer. And of course with my luck, my coffer appeared in the very back. And no one else I knew was on to come help open the gates so me and him spent most that night just randomly waiting on people coming by so we could get thru. I'll never forget his kindness though, and how he always was willing to help and teach. I'll miss you Havian <3.

~I finally got around to properly pimping out my RDM and PLD. Though im almost broke from doing it and still no where near finish sadly. And im starting to think I need to invest in getting Security Token for that handy mog satchel >.>;. I'd give anything for SE to make a strap that would encompass all the Elemental straps so I'd be able clear some space for that lol. But til then, carrying a full set of those seems be what takes up most my room. And of course finally got all HQ staffs cep for Light and Fire, neither of which I'd ever have use for. I got my Witch's Sash that I've been longing for and im really loving it so far. Well worth the gil spent to get it.

~Also because im suffering the white box syndrome I mainly got more of HQ pieces to replace the NQ ones I owned. All seems left to do is finish getting rest of my stuff for my convert set (hedgehog bomb: yes please!), and rest of the stuff for my MND set. I think otherwise most what I'd want is from endgame type things.

As for PLD well it got mainly more HQ stuff and some other things like Cerberous Mantle. Now for it seems just endgame stuff as well.

~And also working on my next job I love, Ninja. And it of course got a lot of loving as well. PCC which im also using on PLD because I just dig the ACC. Fuma boots because I finally gave up on that stingy NM ever dropping. Emperor's Hairpin for that same reason. And amazingly in that same week, I was doing nyzul isle and got the ??? boots from leaping lizzy which turned into her drop as well O.o. So all in all I got a lot nice new things, but im not going list everything XD.

Im really loving Ninja though. I think I now have an addiction to tank jobs. Just between PLD being the tank that can take anything, and NIN being the one can avoid the hits, it just seems so much fun to me. Also im lvling WHM just because I realized alot what I already owned for RDM could cross over to being used for WHM, and because I wanted to help my LS leader out. She was mainly the only WHM we had in our LS full time (we have others but their usually busy), and she ends up being the one has to tele everyone, run to raise everyone, etc. so I figured why not lvl it and give her a break. Its also a pretty decent job. I think from experience of main healing on RDM I wont fail at WHM lol.

~So currently jobs are as following: RDM and PLD 75 (of course :x), NIN 68 (my goal is ding it to 70 atleast by end this week), WHM 52.

So I also joined this amazing endgame LS. And how I ended up in it was actually pretty interesting story. See the first social LS I was ever in was lead by a guy named Emurei. So I was in that LS I'd say for over 8-9 months before he ended up taking a long break from the game, and I ended up moving on to Mini Mart the LS im in now. Well not too long ago while I was standing in town being bored as per usual, I ended up seeing him. Which was a shock for me because it'd been almost a year and half since I had seen him. And I remember from the first social LS I was in with him that he also helped in LoTu. And I use to think how I always wanted to be in that LS because they were always so well runned, a good all around endgame LS, and seem to be pretty well respected on my server. So after we talked for a bit, and me telling him how much I had changed since he last seen me (I want to say I was lvl 50 RDM when he took his break), he asked if I wanted to give Dynamis a try with LoTu's alternate shell for Dyna. So I waas like sure why not. Especially since it was a dyna shell that could work around my random and crazy work schedule.

And thats were I fell in love with the LS. First its nice to have one that understands my schedule, and then its the fact they have always been so friendly and nice since day 1. Infact my first night there, I went to Dynamis-Sandy and got my first relic ever, make that first 2 pieces lol. RDM and PLD. Which was a shock since most LSes I known had always ran by point system or something to that nature, so to find LS actually let me lot on my first night was nice. And then I continued doing runs with them and actually got my first set of wins, and worked onto more relic. Im currently 4/5 RDM, 1/5 PLD, 1/5 NIN, 2/5 WHM, 1/5 SCH, 1/5 BRD. Im excitied at the idea getting my RDM hat and have been crossing my fingers every run we do in Xarca lol.

So after my probation period was done in their Dyna LS they accepted me into main endgame LS, LoTu, which has been great experience so far. I've got to try out ANNMs, ZNMs (I had minor experiences with these), and now finally getting back into sky. Which by the way I finally got my first drop from sky ever. Aquarian Abjuration legs! I think my WHM is going to ding 75 into some really nice stuff lol. I'm really enjoying doing all this new stuff and learning things. I'd like to try HNMs sometime just to see what its like and to try and get chance at some the gear I want from them. As well as get into Einherjar and Limbus. Trying work on getting Sea access right now since thats only thing mission wise holding me back. But as those who know me, know im worst procrastinator when comes to doing missions <.< >.>. I was just never one for doing that kind of stuff, much less enjoying it. But the idea of owning Rajas Ring sounds more and more appealing everyday. Also trying to get a decent Nyzul Isle static going so I can finally have Death Blossom and Atonement, both which I really need. I'd previously only done Nyzul Isle purely just to try and get the stuff from there. And so far own Goliard Body and Askar Boots.

I've also been practicing my RDM/NIN stuff since I finally got around to getting it up to being able sub it. While im not the best, im starting to learn some of it. I did my first solo ever a few weeks back, killing Prime vs. of Shiva. It was a pretty easy fight, and actually fun to do. And I went in there discovering I was a nub who never bought barblizzard. But it was fun to do and I cant wait for my chance at the other Prime's.

Thats really all I can think of to update on so far. It being 12:46 AM and im suppose to be paying attention, I think I'll end my lengthy blog here. But I promise to get back to blogging soon as I really do miss doing it. And maybe put up some nice SSes that arent from my ps2.

Goodies - IRL and Ingame :D

So the reason for lack of posting has been the fact I've been trying to move from my old place to my mom's. Not only am I moving to a bigger room, but I finally leave behind my satellite internet! 2 years of playing ffxi on satellite internet, and I have discovered just how much pain and torture I went through lol. From the lag of going into zones, to freezing up in bcnms, to getting stuck after doing an ISNM and calling a GM, to my personal fave...telling all my friends when im doing Nyzul Isle runs to let me stay at the rune because me doing lamps with that kind of lag was a joke. Seriously I use to have people on the game that would accuse me of hacking (mind you I play on ps2) because my lag caused me to appear like I was jumping across the screen alot. You'd see me stand in one spot, then according to my friends it was like I'd poof and appear a few steps ahead. But no more!

I now live with the wonderful gift that is DSL. As well as a brand new laptop! And im giving serious consideration to ordering the game for my laptop since my PS2 not only handled almost 5 years worth of FFXI from my ex, but the 2 years of me playing it, and I think soon it shall go to that big hardware heaven in the sky. So I figure I might as well see what I've been missing out on for so long. That and it'd be nice to share more screenshots in my posts instead the crap ones I can take on the PS2.

As for things in-game, I have been working on meriting RDM and PLD more. Trying to finish capping Enfeebling on RDM first since I realized that trying to spread my merits out is taking too long and that it'd be much easier to work on 1 area at a time. I spent my first set of merits ever on Chivalry in PLD. And also got myself a nice pair of sexy Askar Gambieras for my PLD to wear. I figure they'll be something nice to idle in til I can finally start working on relic and other gear I'd really like.

I'm beginning to discover the downside to most endgame is that RL always seems to find a way to conflict with an endgame LS schedule. For so long I've wanted to get RDM and PLD relic, but it always seem that my work got in the way. See my rl job only gives me weekly schedules. And I never have the same days off. And finally, the hard blow lol, I work a 3 PM to 9:30 PM EST shift. Which pretty much means that my chances of doing Endgame are slim to none seeing as I never know what days I can go, and im never sure if I can constantly show up and/or be on time. But luckily I've found a few LSes I'm interested in. Now the only problem is finding a day im off where they do something I can go to lol. I'm hoping to get my RDM and PLD properly geared, instead the mix and match stuff I've got so far. Which don't get me wrong, I don't think the gear makes the player. I've always been one of those who strongly believes that a player can be just as good wearing AF and whatever else, as those who have the gil to get the really expensive gear and who have the option of relic, etc.

And finally, my newest addiction and what has been keeping me busy, lvling NIN. It started off as something to level with my boyfriend's SAM, and as a way to finish my /nin sub. And then it became an addiction for me. It's also pretty nice having a boyfriend whose already got 75 NIN and who can educate me in everything I need to know. So far im discovering that shadow-tanking is a whole new experience from how I played on PLD. And im also learning how to maintain hate without all my abilities I could rely on when I was PLD. I'd say im doing decent so far, I finally hit 54 last night. But I know that the real test of what I've learn will come from the evil bird parties.

And that about sums up what I've been busy with really. Just wanted to add a new update and to also add that im still working on my next addition to my role-play of Nindo. It's just going to take longer seeing as im moving all my information and stuff from my old PC to my laptop. Hope to get back to posting more often seeing as I now have reliable internet.

How do you play?

So before I start on my rant, I want to say I finished Ouyru fight the other night and won! Thanks to my fellow ls mates of course. Saintpasanius organized the fight and helped us through. And it went smoothly with no issues. I can't wait til I finally get my ring. I've decided on getting Rajas ring since it'll benefit the other future jobs I plan on leveling.

Anyways, on to my rant. I don't know if its just me, or maybe im being overtly picky, but lately the quality of how people play the game seems to have gone down. Like in the sense that some of them have become incredibly lazy. I'm mainly referring to the RDMs I have had in party over the last 2 months since I've been leveling my PLD.

Let me explain first where I come from. When I first started leveling RDM, I was pretty much "raised" around a group of veternan players. And therefore their expectations were higher of how you would play. I was also taught by my ex that you ALWAYS came prepared to every single party you got into. So I always came with my spells for the next couple of levels, food, basically any and every item I may need. Just because there was nothing more aggravating to them than to have to stop so that I could run to town and pick up spells, or to go get food, and basically it was beat into me that you always came to a party prepared. And to be honest im glad that I was shown how to play that way, because I find myself now being annoyed with people that I get into parties with that don't come prepared. The people that make a party stop and wait because they didn't bother to bring out the spells they needed so they have to run to town to get them, or because they didn't bother to bring enough, food, etc. you get my point.

Also, the next thing I was taught besides being prepared was that once I dinged around 55 on RDM, I was to be the main healer from there on out. To the point that I was so use to main healing in parties, that when I'd get invited into the rare few parties that had say a whm or smn, I'd still carry on main healing. Sometimes to the point that I'd end up turning the other mage into an xp leech lol because they wouldn't have much to do unless I actually did hit a point where I was out of mp and convert wasn't ready. Which was another rare occurance because I was also taught how to manage my MP and at what point that I really did need to use convert.

So here's were my vent comes in. Since I've been leveling PLD, I have discovered that RDMs lately have become REALLY lazy. To the point that I almost want to get off PLD, come out on RDM, and show them how they should be playing. Now don't get me wrong, I am not one those obnoxious 75s who thinks that they're better than others because they have the job at 75, or that I know more. And I'm more than willing to teach and explain. I'm one the few 75 RDMs in my LS and usually I am one the first that most go to, to the point that even when im in the middle of an ISNM lol im answering tells about RDM Maat fights, where to get RDM AF, what equipment to use with what spell, etc. But when I find a player that refuses to listen to any advice, and still continues to play the job in such a manner makes me want to boot them from the party, it makes me question how/where did they learn to play like that.

First is the RDM I had that didn't have a Cure spell above Cure 2. She had RDM 65. Mind you it wasn't from lack of gil, because I asked her. She just didn't see the need to get them. She was also missing refresh, haste, and several other spells as well. Which made me wonder how did she even get that far, aside from campaigning. Or the ever amazing level sync party. Which I consider a blessing and a curse at the same time. Its awesome that I can now play with my other LS mates on various jobs. Or have them bring out their 75s to sync with whatever I have. But the curse is it encourages some who are so lazy that they don't want to bother with the job other than to sync it to ridicolously low levels and then wonder why higher level parties wont have anything to do with them.

Second is the RDM I had that refused to main heal. Because in their words, it was impossible for a RDM to main heal at 60. Which made me laugh, and I tried to explain that it was possible, and that they could do it. They then demanded that I get in the party a whm and a brd to help them with healing. So of course when I refused, they left. Seriously, its not that hard. I can understand a brd, but wanting me to get 2 jobs to help you do the job you yourself are suppose to be doing is ridicolous and just plain lazy on your part.

And finally, this is just a note/tip coming from someone who is now leveling a tank job and realizing how evil convert can be. And you can take this as you may, I find it helpful for me, and I have had alot of fellow party members thank me for it. Keep in mind this is just mearly my opinion, and you don't have to do it yourself. But I think that RDMs should create a convert macro. Not only does it help you cut down the time of going through the menu to do the ability, but if you add in a party line to let your other party members know, it doesn't catch the tank unprepared, and it doesn't scare them lol. I can't tell you how many times I've had tanks freak out on me when I was leveling RDM and would just convert and not give them any forewarning. And at first I laughed it off because I thought it was hilarous to see. Then came the revenge of when I started leveling a tank job myself. And having RDMs do the same to me. I never realized how much it can freak you out to suddenly see someones HP drop to the red, or to see your precious hate you've built up lost. So I try and encourage any RDMs I know to create a macro of their own. My own macro goes something like this:
Line 1:/p How to scare a whm and a Tank > Convert
Line 2:/ja "Divine Seal"
Line 3:/wait 2
Line 4:/ja "Convert"
Line 5:/wait 1
Line 6:/ma "cure IV"

I have a seperate macro of course for my vert gear, and the my light staff. But thats pretty much the macro I use. And I can't tell you how many times I have had other players thank me for having such a macro and letting them know what im about to do. I guess its more or less a couresty thing.
Edit-I had just finished reading on Tarutaru Times online and discovered that someone made an awesome and detailed explanation of convert and what all should be done. I highly recommend you check this blog out, http://ringthree.blogspot.com/2009/07/thin-black-line-convert-101.html.

Well thats pretty much the end of my vent. I was just curious as to how others have been trained to play, and how they learned to play their first 75. I guess though when it comes to your first 75, your always a little protective and a little biased on how it should be played. Time to end this entry, because I must head back to the game and farm. I discovered the painful part of leveling different jobs means funding them with gil, and trying to figure out exactly where your going to get that gil from.

So many updates to post!

Well as promised here is my next update since I finally got a chance to post again. So I've been trying to remember everything I have done since I had last posted. I did finish ACP missions, which was interesting. The storyline seemed a bit lacking, but was still good nonetheless. And the missions were pretty simple and easy. Infact I enjoyed doing the Fei'Yen fight one, and even helped some LS members do it again after I finished mine. I found that my RDM could somewhat kite the goblin in that fight. Of course it disappears and goes to attack someone randomly, but it usually ends up coming right back to me after it rapes someone lol. So usually our setup involved a tank, rdm, whm, and 3 random DD. Now the last fight, was the most evil of them all. And at one point seriously made me wonder if it was worth buying the expansion for that body piece. The tower climb alone was a headache, even with an escort. And then the fight seemed almost beyond ridicolous. And took us 8 tries before we finally won. And we tried so many setups. We'd either wipe, or time out every single time it seemed. Our winning setup though was me on rdm/whm (main healing ftw! I used marron glace btw for that extra mp boost), drk/? for stuns (never had an issue with any aga spells, and he never missed a stun once), pld/war, nin/war (I'll explain how this one worked), sam/rng, and rng/nin. And it worked out beautifully. Now im sure your curious about the setup so let me explain.

First off, I had no /drk for chainspell stun, so I figured why not main heal instead. As I am pretty proud of myself for being capable of main healing anyways on rdm. And of course I used marron glace for food. Also I tried to keep any DoTs I could on the boss. Such as Bio 3, Poison 2, etc. The DRK was there for stuns and extra DoTs. And mind you never once did he miss a stun. Which makes me wonder why so many people were determined you had to have a chainspell stunner. PLD was the first to run up and voke and pop 2 hr since with the boss AoE, you risk having all your timers reset. Which I later discovered if you stay really close to the door, you can actually evade that AoE since I didn't have my timers reset the last fight. The NIN actually was very handy in clone control, and for when the PLD would either become charmed, or at one point when the PLD actually died, the NIN was able to voke the boss and let it simply eat its shadows when it'd pull it in over and over. As for when the PLD gets charmed, my best advice is let him come up top to where your standing at before you sleep him. So that way hes nearby when you can wake him and he doesn't get caught in the middle of an AoE. And as long as the boss doesn't do any of its AoE's other than the draw in, our NIN didn't have much trouble just being sucked in over and over. The sam and rng of course were also on clone control, and were rnged attacking the boss. And thats pretty much all that it took. I always made sure the DRK had haste and refresh on him, as the other DDs had haste. The PLD had refresh on him at all times. And basically the rest of the fight was keeping DoTs on the boss, and making sure the pld didn't die.

And as for the body piece, I of course got Royal Redingote. Since I don't have relic yet for my RDM, I decided to turn it into a fast cast piece. So I put on Fast Cast +5. and Enmity-5. And I macroed it in for when I do cures. I thought about getting the PLD type body piece but decided I'd rather wait and see what SE comes out with when the new IR comes out. An im actually pretty satisfied with body piece I picked. I might later go back and redo the fight once I get relic, and decide to level something else that might get use out of one the other body pieces.

Also I've been working on merits for RDM. And for those who are curious this is what I have so far:
2 Merits in Max MP
1 Merit in Sword Skill
1 Merit in Enfeebling Magic Skill
1 Merit Spell Interruption Rate
2 Merits in Convert Recast
1 in Ice Magic Acc.
1 in Slow 2
2 Merits in Paralyze 2

I know its a pretty random list, but im slowly working on more merits. I am probably going to add Phalanx 2 to the list as well. It just seems lately I got caught up in leveling PLD, which has become my 2nd love. I have discovered that I absoutely love that job, and right now I currently have it to 69. I hope to have it to 75 before the end of the month. And im pretty excitied that since I have RDM, I can easily merit PLD at any time. And once I get a chance I'll update on what gear I have on my PLD and what I've been doing with it.

Well, thats about all I have to update on tonight. My fingers are begging for a break, and its time I head back to the game. Tomorrow im suppose to be doing Ouryu fight, since I've finally started working on CoP again, so I hope it goes well. Im doing the run with my LS mates from Mini Mart. I absoutely love that Linkshell and its been like a home and family for me being there. If you ever come to Shiva server, feel free to send me a tell and I'll get you a pearl for the LS. Its very wonderful group indeed, and I've been with them for almost a year now, and love talking to my ls mates on vent, or on the phone. And just the stuff we do when we hang out is so much fun. Anyways, time for me end this blog and head back to the game to go poke stuff.

Long time - No Post

Wow so it really has been a long time since I've last post. I'm sorry that I haven't posted sooner, but I got caught up in between dealing with real life and of course the ever-pulling draw of ingame. And I forgot to keep updating my blog lol. So im not quite sure what all to update on so I'll try and remember most of what I've done.

So not sure if I posted this yet, but I hit RDM 75. Course its been 75 for awhile now, but its my first. And I have a couple merits on it. Whenever I get a chance I'll post what merits I have, and what im planning on meriting on RDM. I've been doing alot of reading, and talking to my RDM mentor on Shiva Server, Gangstabigboi. And I think I have it figured out for the most part what im going to do. Also working on my 2nd 75 to be, PLD. Its currently 65 and I am loving every minute of it so far. Its my 2nd love next to RDM of course.

Lets see I also finally got my joy toy as well on my RDM. I was so excitied that when I finally got it, I think I almost cried some hehe. I also got Suppa from ZM. And after a year of procastinating I finally got Rank 8 on Windy, and hoping if I keep it up I can get to Rank 10. If you haven't guessed yet, im a big procastinator when it comes to missions and quests.

And really thats all I can think of to update on. My mind is drawing blanks and numb from hours of tanking. And I really just wanted to make a post to let people know im still alive. And to point out my nifty new icon and banner I made for the blog. Hopefully soon I'll get back to posting again. Hope all has been well for others, and I hope to start writing more role plays for Nindo soon as well.

The Investigation Begins - Pt 2 of Nindo's Story

So I finally worked on the next part of Nindo's story. I do apologize for how long it took me to write it. I'm just one those who likes to hash out a storyline over and over in her head into I'm sure it's good. I hope you like this next part. I'm trying to stay as close to the storyline as possible. Also bear with me on any grammar or spelling errors. Spell check only works so well sadly lol. Anyways enjoy!

The Investigation Begins:

Light rays shined through the window of the chieftainness's hut. Faintly you could hear the drip drop of water as everything was drying up from the storm the night before. The sunshine played across her face, waking her from her sleep. She lifted up from her bed and looked at the baby Mithra lying next to her. The child had been quiet all through the night, not one cry or whimper. She laid in the bed sleeping peacefully, occasionally twitching her little paws. Lifting slowly out the bed so as to not wake her, Romaa headed to the kitchen area to get herself something to drink. Suddenly through the doorway came a young Mithra. Racing towards Romaa she tripped and tumbled in front of her. “Nanaa you silly kitten, you need to watch wherrre yourrr going” said Romaa as she bent down to pick her daughter. “Good morrrrning mommy!” said Nanaa as she snuggled close to Romaa. “Good morrrning little one. We have a vistorrr with us. A baby. One the local Ninjas brrrought herr in last night durrring the storrrm. She will be staying with us til we find herrr mommy. Would you like to meet herrr?” said Romaa. Nodding her head in excitement, Nanaa struggled to be put down. “Wherrre is she?!”

“She's in my bedrrroom. Please be quiet, she's just babe, and she's had a verrry rrrough night. She needs rrrest...” Romaa started to finish her sentence, but Nanaa was already racing towards the bedroom and bouncing on the bed with delight. “Good morrrning!” she squealed over and over. The baby Mithra woke up with a startled look on her face and then looked at Nanaa with such a look of shock that Romaa could barely hold back her laugher. Leaning down almost nose to nose, Nanaa looked at the babe and said “Good morrrning! Wake up sleepy head! My name is Nanaa! Whats yourrrs?” Shaking her head, Romaa smiled and said “She's too young to talk yet Nanaa. She's just a baby. But you do have a point, this little one doesn't have a name yet. Hmmm...what should we name herrr?” “Oh! Oh! I know! She's little like those silly Tarrrru that you told me about. Maybe we could name her Tarrru!” Laughing, Romaa said “No...we can't name herrr Tarrru. We need to pick a good name for this babe. Lets see...well she was rescued by a ninja. And I've hearrrd the ninjas call theirrr ways of life Nindo. Nindo seems a fitting name forrr herrr. What do you think Nanaa?” “I still say we should call her Tarrru” Nanaa said in a sulky voice. “Orrr we can call herrr Nindo-Windo!”. “Nindo is just fine.” said Romaa, trying to hold back from laughing. And then she leaned down to look at the young baby.

What kind of mother would take her child and leave her in Sea Serpent Grotto. Why even go there, that place was filled with beastman and monsters that were a handful for the Ninjas there much less a villager or passerby. Though there was no way this child could belong to any of her villagers. And Kiska said that Norg had no idea who the child could have belonged to. “Nindo-Windo needs a bath mom!” said Nanaa interrupting her thoughts. Smiling, Romaa said “So she does. Let me go wash and clean herrrr up and lets see if any yourrr baby clothes will fit herrr. Why don't you go outside and play while I take carrre of herrr” said Romaa. “Okay!” said Nanaa, racing towards the door. “Hold on one minute kitten.” said Romaa. “You can go outside and play, but you arrrren't taking my daggerrrs with you. Those arrren't toys Nanaa”. Sighing, Nanaa took the daggers out her pockets and laid them on the table and then started to head outside. “And stay away from Ryuhkowa's! If I hearrr of you trying to steal one morrre of her goods again Nanaa...” “I wont Mom!” said Nanaa rushing outside. Sighing Romaa looked at the baby, “Well Nindo, I don't know what im going to do with herrr, but I do know what im going to do with you. A bath and some new clothes will be the starrrt of it. And hopefully make you look less like a mud puddle and morrre like a babe.

After the bath and some clean clothes, Romaa went to talk to one of her head guards. Being a Chieftainness of a village meant she had a lot of responsibility, one being to make sure that village was running, was safe from any attacks, that her supplies were good, and that her villagers were happy. And right now taking care of a baby couldn't be one of those responsibilities. She was hoping that the guards would know if they'd seen any recent Mithra mothers come or go with babies. More specifically a baby with bright red hair. After her bath, when Romaa got a good look at her she never seen a baby with such curious red hair. Or such an interesting personality. The baby didn't fuss much or complain. And she seemed to be interested in everything she saw. When Romaa set her down to go find some clothes, when she came back she found the baby sitting next to one of her swords she had left leaning against the wall. Rushing to grab her for fear she'd cut herself she found the baby was simply staring and touching the sword. When the babe reached forward as if to grab the sword Romaa knelt down beside her and took it from her. “I think yourrr just a wee bit too young to be wielding a blade Missy. Come back to me when yourrr olderrr and maybe then will make a fine soldierrr out of you” said Romaa as she took the sword carefully away. She afterwards took Nindo to Meiran, one of her local villagers to watch over Nindo. Meiran had no children of her own, but had watched young Nanaa many a time while Romaa was busy. Meiran had a way with the little ones, keeping them calm and entertained for hours. She once was a soldier herself, but the years of war and battle left her with injuries that kept her from staying on the guard duty. So instead she settled with watching the little ones of the village, and teaching them some sword and dagger play when they were older.

Romaa headed to the guard house and knocked on the door. A young Mithra guard opened it and saw Romaa and said “Chieftainness Romaa!”. Smiling, Romaa nodded her head at the young guard. “I need to ask you and the otherrrr guarrrds that arrre not on duty some questions. Would you ask them all to come herrre please.” Nodding, the guard rushed off to gather them. When they all came back Roma looked at them all and said “As some you may know last night a ninja came to visit us. She brrrought with herrr a young Mithra babe. The babe was found in Sea Serpent Grotto. No mother was found. Now I know this babe can't belong to one of ourrr villagerrrs since none of them are missing. So I'd like to know if any of you saw a Mithrrra motherrr come thrrrough rrrecently? The babe has brrright rrred hairrr so she wouldn't been harrrd to miss.” Stepping forward, one the guards said “I rrrrecently saw a Mithrrra in a darrrk rrrobe come thrrrough herrre mam! She didn't stay long orrr say much. Only reason I paid herrr any attention was because the babe she had with herrr. She asked me to hold herrr while she got on a Chocobo. Said she was heading out to the jungle. I had no idea what she would want out therrre but I held the babe anyways. She was a pretty little thing, and I can't forrrget that hairrr or the way she looked about as if she was currrious about everrrrything arrround herrr.” Nodding Romaa knew it was young Nindo and her mother that the guard must have seen. It didn't answer much seeing as they didn't get the mother's name or her reason for heading out to the jungle. But at least it was a start. Romaa told the guards they could return to their duties and she stepped out the hut and headed off to start her duties as the Chieftainness. While she'd like to figure out where Nindo came from and where her mother was at, she couldn't stop her duties for the day to continue investigating.

I will post and update on whats been going ingame for me lately soon. Just been so busy with not only RL stuff, but in game stuff. Trying to concentrate on getting RDM to 75, its currently 74, CoP missions, Sky runs, Leveling Sword Skill, and pretty much everything else under the sun. Which leaves me with not much time to make updates on my blog. Im also hoping that once I can clear up some room I can start posting some pics again. Keep in mind I play on PS2 so sadly I wont have the beautiful crisp clear looking pictures that PC players get to have.

Anyways to bed I shall go!

Subs and Gil

First I'd like to wish Jixxi the best of luck in their Maat fight. Thank you for the comment, I'm glad you liked my guide. I hope you don't let Maat get to you. I know he nearly made me re-think my job choice several times. Infact I know some on our server who never did beat RDM Maat fight and ended up leveling another job. I know a few that are 0/22 on him as well lol. Eventually you'll beat him and when you do, you'll end up laughing and wondering why you never beat him before. Really hes just a cheating old man who can have a /mnk sub, use back to back weaponskills, and even when he does use chainspell half the time he wants to chainspell bio over and over. And you'll feel pretty good about yourself once you do beat him. And when you do win know that you won one the hardest Maat fights in the game.

Speaking of that, I hear that the BLU LB5 is pretty evil too. Someone told me that the guy you fight pretty much has a verison of chainspell on him at all times. Sounds like fun!

So lately my goal has been to get my subs finished. I've been trying to level RDM up as well, im currently at 71, but it takes almost forever to get leveled! Almost makes you wish for the levels where it took only 5k XP to get to your next level. Now it takes 40k. And then you got to add in the fail parties you get, deaths, and whatever else comes and at some points your ready to beat your head against a wall. But atleast you know you earned your level when you get it. And that your ready to stab the person who may get you killed and cause you to delevel. Anyways I finally got both WHM and BLM to 37 and im glad to be done with both of those. Next on my list is to get NIN finished, then SCH, and finally DRK. Though im wondering if RDM/DRK is as needed now thesedays. I know Chainspell Stun comes in handy but lately it seems that people don't want a chainspell stunner anymore. Or maybe its just RDMs don't bother leveling DRK and people work around it lol. Either way I'm working on trying to get all my subs ready before I hit 75.

Speaking of fail parties, I had one the other day. Seriously I understand that when your trying to setup a party sometimes its hard to find the job classes you want. But im my case I always kept searching for something similar, I'd ask my friends or LS mates, and even ask non-seeking people if I have to. I've never tried to get mutiples of one job class and just hope for the best. Now in some situations I could see that working. But why...why for the sake of Altana would you want to invite 3 RDMs to a party. What are we going to do, take turns with Refresh? Its silly. You can't tell me they couldn't find a single SMN, SCH, BRD, WHM, COR, BLU, DNC, or whatever seeking? 1 RDM is enough for main heal in most 60+ parties. I know that for a fact because thats what I end up doing every 60+ invite I get. I main heal, we usually have a brd or a cor, and the rest is your DD and tank. So why would you ever want to get 3 RDMs is beyond me. And the worst part was the guy tried to say he couldn't find anybody. Funny thing is after I disbanded from that failure, I was able to setup my own party from the people seeking and had absoutely no problem finding people. If you can't find the job you want, settling for less is good somedays, but mutiple RDMs is just fail.

So lately I've been doing sky runs with Mini Mart. Which by the way if your in the need of a good social friendly LS on Shiva then just give me a /tell and I'll try and get you a pearl. This LS is always doing something, missions or quests, NMs, BCNMS, and now they have a seperate LS for endgame stuff. So as I said I've been going with them for Sky and im actually enjoying it. Sadly though SE wasn't very much in the gift giving mood when it came to RDM Sky Drops. Some of the stuff is nice but isn't anything I'd /drool over. We've mainly been doing Genbu and Suzaku. We tried Byakko awhile back but we weren't quite ready for that yet. So far im the only RDM that goes up there. There are 2 others that occasionally show up, and of course most the people who go up there have a RDM 75 (which they've retired), but right now im the only one who usually goes up there most the time. Its an interesting learning experience in going after the gods. By the way am I the only one who finds it weird that Suzaku is considered a RDM/BLM type mob, but most of his drops are not really anything a RDM would want....

Anyways so its been fun going up there with MM for sky. The guys really make that LS feel like family, and their always joking and cracking up on vent. So far I figure I'll go for getting Genbu's shield and the Zenith Mitts Abjuration. My first time at Genbu I had no points and so I couldn't lot on the mitts, but the Shield went for free lot. Woot! Except for the fact that im a failure at lotting apparently lol. Which is okay because since that shield always goes free lot im sure to get it at some point. The 2nd time we went after him he was stingy though which made me sad because I had points to spend. So here's hoping hes a little more in the giving mood the next time we're after him.

And now for the other half of what I've been working on. I'm trying to find something decent to farm. I usually prefer farming stuff I can NPC over AH, unless its something that AH for a decent amount and sells pretty fast. So lately I've been testing out different farming ideas I have found from ffxifarming.blogspot.com. Some of them work, but the others aren't good anymore thanks to all the updates NPC prices. It makes me kind of sad that all the things I really want to try farming require a 75 job to do it decently. Or atleast a very kind THF friend to tag along with you. And being RDM with a gimp THF sub isn't fun lol. Lately though I've gained a new respect for THF. I use to just think of them as some silly job that used daggers. But after watching a few THF friends kick some mobs asses where others would go down, im starting to respect them more and more. And im actually considering taking it to 75 myself. Mithra THFs are just plain awesome anyways. So anyways im going to keep trying to find something thats worth farming so I can share with you guys. If you have any suggestions feel free to leave it in a comment in my blog and I'll test it out.

Well time for me to end this rambling blog. I have to head to work soon to farm for irl gil. Too bad I couldn't just camp a NM in RL and sell their drop lol.

p.s. I've been trying to find a decent sized picture of Shikaree Y for my boyfriend. I need something thats 500 x 500 pixels or bigger. We want to make a background out of her picture, but the only picture we could find online was barely 400 x 300 which was too small for what we needed. If anyone has a good picture of her, or can get me one I'd greatly appreciate it. If not her, if you know of a NPC thats a female DRK let me know. Thanks!

Red Mage Maat Fight - 1/8

*Keep in mind this is just merely a guide that worked for me. Each RDM may find their own way that works and I wish them the best of luck!*

Tips:
  • First off before you go in make sure you have at least Enfeebling capped. I'd highly recommend also capping Dark, Elemental, and Enhancing as well but thats up to you. In this fight you'll need all the help you can get.
  • I suggest going in at 70 since once again you need all the help you can get from your magic skills.
  • Setup your macros and practice them before going in. My first mistake on the first fight was never practicing them. I went in and freaked out and couldn't figure out where any of them were at. Also make sure to check that you did them correctly xD. 2nd mistake was I forgot to check and my Sleep II macro didn't work.
  • I recommend practicing on the Ruby Quadav. Now keep in mind the fight with him and the fight with Maat will be entirely different in some ways. You're expected to silence Ruby, where you can't with Maat. Theres also no time limit and you can use a sub job. But nonetheless its a chance to practice and understand the sleep/nuke method. It also helps to learn your timing in spells. Basically all your doing is going in, putting on Stoneskin, Blink, Phalanx, and Refresh. Then you cast on Ruby Quadav, and run near the zone because more than likely you'll link the other 2 in that area. If so just sleep Ruby near the zone and then run through. When you go back, he'll be there and the others will either go back to the area they were in or will have disappeared. Either way as long as you keep Ruby in the hallway your safe from aggro. Now you silence him, bind him, paralyze, nuke, and sleep. And just repeat that process over and over. Once you get the hang of it you'll finally be able to understand the sleep / nuke method. And best part about practicing on Ruby is that you get a chance of a Testimony dropping!
  • When going to fight Maat you have a choice between 2 days that will benefit you the most during your fight. Now you can go any day you want, and I know some who have and won. But going on Darksday or Windsday can improve your chances a little. Darksday will effect your sleeps more, giving you a better chance of having them not resisted. Windsday will improve your Nukes and Gravity more. I won on a Windsday.
  • If you have sky access, have a 75 friend (THF helps) go up there to kill Sprinklers for you. They practly hand you testimonies.
Macros:
These are the macros I went with that worked for me best.
Light Staff Macro, Wind Staff Macro, Dispel, Bind, Paralyze, Aero 3, Slow, Stoneskin, Sleep, Sleep II

Stone Staff Macro, Blink, Chainspell, Convert, Dark Staff, and Gravity

Each the spells above I made sure had a staff to go with them. And I made seperate staff macros so I could switch out to rest or cure myself.

Items:
Now the items you choose to use are up to you. I tried various items each of my fights and had some amount of success with each. For the most part I used Melon Pies +1, but I also tried out Apple Pies +1, and a Cream Puff. Both worked well for me. I also tried out various potions. Each worked but problem I had with ones like Hi-Elixirs where that they take too long to use. In the time your waiting for it to work, Maat could wake up and hit you. So in the end I went with an Vile Elixir +1. Its 30k on my server, but it was well worth it. Also Intelligence Potions are handy and relatively cheap. Yagudo Drinks are useful, but keep in mind they don't stack with your Refresh spell and only last a minute.

Equipment:
Ice Staff, Wind Staff, Earth Staff, Light Staff, Dark Staff (Using HQ Staves can help especially the Wind and Ice)
Raptor Leather Strap +1
Phantom Tathlum
Warlock's Chapeau
Enfeebling Torque
Moldavite Earring
Phantom Earring
Warlock's Tabard
Cobra Unit Cuffs
Genius Ring
Hale Ring
Red Cape +1
Penitent's Rope
Warlock's Tights
River Gaiters

How to beat up an evil old man:

Now first I want to say before you start this fight, don't worry if you lose. If you do, that doesn't make you a bad RDM. It took me 8 attempts before I finally won. And out of those fights 4 of them he killed me so fast that I didn't even have time to blink. As I said before, practice with your macros and try and go in as calm as possible. Also, tell your LS buds and all your friends your doing this, just because their support will help during the fight. If it wasn't for my friends I'd given up on the fight after the 5th death. I had good friend's that backed me up and kept me cheered up and gave me a reason to keep going and trying.

Now, before going into the actually area of the fight you can go ahead and eat your food. All other buffs will disappear when you trade your testimony, but your food wont. As soon as you go in, run up to the edge where you can see him buff. He wont attack you or aggro so your safe to stand and buff near him. While watching him, cast refresh, stoneskin, blink, and phalanx. It's important to see what buffs he puts on. Now your more than welcome to sleep him and then buff, but my reason for never trying was the fear that if he had blink on, or just resisted my sleeps then I'd be without any buffs to keep me from dying. If he does have blink on, just cast something quick like Fire til its off. Never use any DoT's such as Dia. Also never use silence on him. The last thing you want is Maat to spend most the fight chasing you down trying to melee you. Also make sure to keep a good amount of distance between the 2 of you during this process as if he does wake up it gives you time to re-apply any spells. After you sleep him, make sure above all else to dispel off his Shell 3, Stoneskin, and Phalanx. Those 3 are the most important spells you don't want him having. Now bind him, paralyze him, slow, and gravity as well. If gravity is resisted thats fine, as long as you make sure before nuking that hes bound. The spell has been changed so there is a chance when nuking him that he will become unbound, which is why you need him paralyzed and slowed and hopefully gravity as well. Now throw out Aero 3, and immediatly follow up with a Sleep II. Put back on any buffs if he manage to knock off any and reapply the enfeebles. Repeat the same process 2 more times. Always make sure to keep up blink and stoneskin. On the 3rd time of doing this process make sure you atleast have 200 MP or more. My reason being that Aero 3 costs 106 MP, Sleep II is 29, and Sleep is 19, which totals up to 154 MP and if your sleeps are resisted you need any mp to make sure you can bind him or anything til you can cast sleep again. Also because you'll need some mp left for the next step.

After your 3rd nuke, he should be near 50%. As I said before, make sure hes asleep, bound, and paralyzed. Convert and pop your vile elixir +1 and then throw on a Cure IV. If you have to make sure your buffs are good. Now for the fun part. After your sure all enfeebles are on him and your well buffed, let loose your Chainspell and Aero 3. Now during that process he might become unbound which is why I had my bind macro ready to use and hit if he did. Its also why I had blink and stoneskin macros ready incase he did manage to knock them off I could quickly reapply. You only have to get him down to 15% before he gives in and says just how awesome of a RDM you finally have become.

So congratulations if you did win! You've beaten one the hardest fights in the game. And now you have something worth bragging about to all your friends.

If you didn't don't worry like I said it doesn't make you a bad player. Just try again til you finally get it. Also a tip, make sure to atleast take breaks in between attempts so you don't wear yourself out trying to beat him, or like me wear out your gil and end up near broke lol.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I hope this guide helps. And good luck to those who attempt Maat!

Too Soon

First I want to say thank you to roxya for your last comment. I wanted to reply but can't seem to get to your blog so I figured I'd just say thanks in my next blog. It is crazy how many subs RDM is expected to have. Especially if you plan on doing endgame as well. I still don't think I'm going to bother getting DRK up just because being the chainspell stunner doesn't sound very fun lol. But im starting to learn that I need to force myself into breaks occasionally now or else im going to get annoyed with the game all over again. Glad to see your back in the game though and I hope you enjoy it not after such a long break.

Which comes to the subject of this blog. I started off my last break too soon >.<. I figured a week should be good enough so I jumped right back in. I got my whm to 37 finally (woots!), and blm to 34 by leveling in the dunes. I figured XP is XP, and the only people I could find worth partying with was LS members who had jobs that level. Besides usually its easier to have a long party with friends vs. one you put together from those who're seeking. Atleast in my experience anyways, though I'll will say I have occasionally come across some parties I've got from seeking that have lasted a really long time. Anyways after getting those 2 up, I had originally planned on continuing to level up RDM. But then the subject of joy toy's came up...

I was given a ToD for Charybdis from a friend. Which the first ToD didn't turn out well because with my poor luck he popped 5 minutes into his window opening. And sadly my group didn't get out there til about 15 mins into it since I think we all expected it to be one those 3 hour waits. So I spent the next 3 days getting ToD's and trying to go after him. The 2nd attempt I was actually able to get him! With only 4 hours into his window opening. But sadly me and my friends made a newb mistake and stayed with him down in the water instead taking him up on the ramp. So when one of the devil mantas respawned, it went after our whm (who was dual boxing as a NIN) and killed him first, while I finally managed to sleep it it eventually woke up and came after me and killed me. During this time our THF had been killed as well because of Chary. Which we made such a newb mistake because we were so excitied to even get claim. There was a alliance down there trying to get him, and infact I'm guessing their getting their whole LS joy toys because they've been down there the last couple days trying to claim him. So far they've got him atleast 3 times lol. Anyways we got Chary down to 50% before all dying due to the link. Which if your wondering, I had a level 75 THF, 75 NIN, 75 WHM, and me as 68 RDM/BLM. It worked out pretty decently and I think if we had pulled him up on the ramp we might have actually killed him.

Anyways the next ToD I had I actually got a really good group up for it. I spent 8 hours waiting on that evil evil Chary with no pop. And it was 6 AM for me at the time we stopped, and I was so ready to pass out. SSG was filled to the brim with people to, when I searched the area we had a total of 63 people. And I can say atleast 40 of them were in that room with us. Which made me ill because out that many people, only maybe 15 of them had actually been there last couple days trying and getting ToD and busting there butt. The rest I think just saw there was a lot of people in SSG and decided to show up and see what they could get. Anyways, after waiting 8 hours with friends from both LSes im in, we all agreed we were tired and our claiming abilities were starting to slow and half of us were on the verge of passing out. Our poor THF was so dead tired that he'd actually rest in between spawns and I'd have to whenever it was time for a new spawn. So we gave in to sleep and said we'd try again.

I of course left Nindo AFK as did a friend incase my fail internet d.ced me and I didn't get the roundabout ToD. Which he did get an exact ToD for me...it popped 40 mins. after we left. Trust me after hearing that I wanted to /cry. Worst part was that it didn't go to a person who actually was there for a long time and had been trying. It went to some last minute party that showed up. Which im happy they got there joy toy, but part of me feels slightly ill I guess lol. But in the end its whoever gets claim so I guess it did go to the right person. Anyways, after spending 8 hours on him, and sacrificing some well needed sleep the first time I had ToD because I had work 3 hours after that, I have started to feel a little burnt out again. I realize that its to be expected if I really want that sword and its not something I should expect to just be handed to me or that I should get it because I've been there for last couple of days. And I realize its an almost 12 hour NM. I just think I came back too soon and forced myself into sacrificing way too much sleep and time.

So im forcing myself into another break =/.

And im really going to take this one seriously.

Anyways onto another subject.

I helped Corol and Eth in my other LS get to Rank 4 in their Bastok Mission before I made SSG my new home. Which I have to admit being able to show off my RDM and kick some NMs butts makes me feel all good inside. I killed their NMs in Beadeaux for them, and also the one in the Tower to get their keys. And I had blast. I've recently got Stone 3, which yes I've been a little late on getting the Tier 2 and 3 Nukes since been trying to level up so much lately, and I have been using that spell like crazy. I enjoy it way too much lol. I usually average out about 350 damage every time I use it which makes me feel all badass. Eth also showed me how you could decently farm in Beadeaux, which it actually worked out pretty well.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Beadeaux

Your main goal is to get Quadav Helms, scrolls, Mauls, and if you got space some the equipment they drop like the scale stuff. I mainly went for the scrolls and Maul.

The Quadav Helms drop off most the Quadav there, and can be turned in for a Quest called Vengeful Wrath for 900 gil. Or you can try AH it if you don't feel like turning them in, on my server they usually go for about 1k apiece on the AH.
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Vengeful_Wrath

Then Mauls drop off the Garnet Quadav and they NPC for about 2.3 up to 3k. I love things you can NPC since I hate waiting for stuff to sell on the AH so this was perfect for me. Anyways also snag the silence scroll or any the others which sell on the AH fast and usually for 1k or more.

Garnet, Sapphire, and Topaz all drop scrolls you can AH for really good.

And finally the NMs there are pretty decent. I went after Zo'Khu Blackcloud and Ge'Dha Evileye. Evileye's Faerie Tunic can be NPCed for about 3.5k or you can try selling it on the AH. Holy Phial from Evileye goes for about 10k on my server. And the Faerie Shield from Blackcloud usually goes for about 19-25k on my server. I tried going after the Valkyrie's Mask NM as well, but made the mistake of getting one too many links and dying. So I just decided to stick with the other NMs.

I wanted to just share some that with everybody since I know that its hard to find something worth NPCing these days seeing as everytime we find something good, rmts come along and ruin it for us.

Well thats all for this post. I'm going to take my break seriously this time. And I'm still working on the next part of my story for Nindo. Take care all and thanks for reading this incredibly long post of mine lol.

/wave,
Nindo

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Sorry just a random title lol. I'm almost brain dead from work, and couldn't think of anything witty or FFXI related to title this post. And the first thing that came to my mind was that for some reason...

Anyways so within the last 2 months I've been pretty busy in the game. I finally got myself up to CoP 3-3. Incase you were curious, I did CoP 2-5 with me as RDM/WHM, 1 BLM/WHM, 2 BST (can't remember their subs), 1 NIN, and 1 WHM/BLM. And we did good. It took us about 26 minutes to beat them, but we finally did. Basically the bst's did the kiting, while me and the blm went between nuking and helping to heal the NIN tank. I made sure to keep our mammet silenced since its a pain when the thing goes blm and knocks off the NIN's shadows. And the whm went out towards the middle and helped to keep the 2 bst healed incase they needed it. All in all it was a very good run, aside from the occasional aggro on the way to the BCNM. Most of it was my fault too. Which is highly embarassing when you know that you are a better player than that, yet you still get aggro lol. I'll blame it on a combination of fail internet( I play on PS2 on Satellite internet. Which means evil lag), bad luck, and bad guessing at where to avoid aggro.

So in the meantime I've also been doing ZM runs with my new LS, Mini Mart. I still love Windurst Cavalry very much, but I was invited into this LS by a friend and figured I could duo between the 2. Mini Mart is an awesome and very social and helpful LS, so if your on the Shiva server you should defiently get yourself a pearl. Same goes for Windurst Cavalry. They're like my home besides my mog house of course lol. Anyways, I finally got sky access after doing so many ZM runs that I was ready to pass out from exhaustion. Im up to ZM 14 right now and im pretty excitied to see how the Ark Angel fight goes. The floating taru is just too cute. And the mithra sends chills up my spine.

I also managed to get RDM up to 68. I unlocked SCH since I figured it'd be another awesome sub-job to have handy for my RDM. I dread leveling up yet another mage job, but I figure with all the stuff SE has added to make leveling low levels easy that it shouldn't be too bad. Now all that I have to do is get SCH to 37, WHM to 37, and BLM to 37 and I'll be ready for my RDM. Next will be the fun stuff! I've been working on my 2nd favorite job, PLD. I absoutely love that job class. Everything from the weaponskills, to the armor, to just how much fun it seems. That and it gives me a chance to enjoy being in the front beating stuff instead in the back throwing the refresh and haste out like a good little backline job lol. Which from what I hear from the rumors, SE plans on trying to make RDM a more front line job. It makes me incredibly curious because I'd love to know how they plan on doing such a thing. The only problem is regardless of what they add to make RDM more front line, unless we're doing as much/more damage than the other DD's, I doubt we will see any changes in party setup.

I've also been working on unlocking jobs lately. I figured whenever I get bored of leveling up RDM, I'd need a job just to have fun with. So I've been playing around with COR, and thinking of unlocking DRG. I dunno if I'll take either of the 2 very far, but its worth a shot to try a new job out.

Also I finally got my RDM Testimony! I've been working on slowly gathering equipment I want for end game, and for of course the dreaded RDM Maat Fight. Which has me very worried. I've re-read the ffxi wikia testimonies atleast 15 times, and watched the videos on youtube. And im trying to keep my fingers crossed and just hope that when I go in Maat's feeling very kind lol. I figure I'll get myself up to 70, which seems to be the average level I hear that you should go to for a RDM Maat Fight. And then I will try and cap most of my magic skills. After that I'll farm like crazy so I can afford some the equipment I will need. I'd give anything to own a Witch Sash, but sadly unless I switch my home nation to Sandy, find a Sandy that loves me, or find a treasure coffer that gives me 2.5 million gil that dream is far far away. So I set my sights on the Pentint's Rope. I wasted my first 40 beastman seals on trying to get PCC so I could sell it. Which I went into the fight with little to no information on how to do it, just went with what the party told me I was suppose to do. My luck I died on my turn lol. Almost makes me wish they'd atleast tell you what would have been in that chest. Then again if it did have PCC in there I think I'd /cry for awhile.

Thats about all I can think of for updates. I'm currently taking a break from the game right now. Just been so overwhelmed with real life, and dealing with so much personally. Lately it seems like the game has become more of a chore, between trying to do all the ZM and CoP runs, to the trying to get sub jobs and main jobs leveled up. And since I love this game so much I figure that I need to give it and myself a break. I'd never want to become part of that group of people who force themselves to play every single day, and then become burnt out from the game. I've seen some who do I repeat of canceling their account, coming back 4 months later, and then canceling their account again because they get tired of the game or burnt out again. So I figure a week or so of a break is well needed. It gives me more time to work on my writing (which sorely needs it lol), and more time with family and friends and my boyfriend. Also I have a huge stack of books and video games (Kingdom Hearts woots!) I got for Christmas that have been calling my name. I'll try and work on my posts. I'm still working on more story lines for my role play of Nindo. I want it to try and stick as close as possible to all of FFXI's storylines.

Well I'm going to call it a night. This mithra is very tired and in need of some rest. Hope all of you had a Happy New Year, and thanks for reading the post. Look forward to making more posts soon.
