My Newbie Days Pt 1.

So I was thinking of when I first started out in the game what it was like for me. As I said in my first post, my first experience of FFXI was when I went on my first date with my boyfriend. Hes been playing the game for about 4 years now as Zonist. He showed me Besiged and handed me the controller to his PS2 and asked if I'd like to try. Being the newb I was I of course got him killed instantly lol.

Anyways, fast forward to an excellent Christmas gift from him consisting of FFXI and a PS2 that I could play it on. And so I started out on Pandy Server first. I later moved to Shiva server with him, and have had nothing but great experiences on that server. I remember my first days starting out as a RDM. I feel sorry for any mage job that just starts out just because I know like myself, we all have our heroes on the game that make that job look so badass. And of course at low levels we just arent that badass as some melee jobs. Zonist my boyfriend is a level 75 RDM and everytime I watch him take down a NM that only a RDM could ever solo, I just love my job class all the more. Its part of why I picked to be a Red Mage was the capablity of doing both melee and magic. Anyways, it almost sucks starting out just because of low mp and the constant need to rest to regain that MP.

So I was thinking of those newbie days when I first started out, and I just wanted to post some pictures I found. Not sure of the date or level and time period. Just random pics I found on my PC that I had sent from my PS2. Hope you like!

This is the NM that drops the Pilgrim's Wand. Rhyiel was my first LS friend I ever made, and to this day the BEST LS friend I have ever made. She's always been willing to help me. FYI, Pilgrim's Wand is the handiest wand you could ever have for low level mages since it gives you MP recovered while healing +2. Infact I actually use mine for my 30+ mage jobs as well.

As you can tell I loved NM camping as a newb lol. Still do to this day. Anyways im 1/4 on the drop for Spiny Spipi. I of course had help from my BF that day as you can see in the below pic

Mist Silk Cape is another handy drop for low level mages.
It gives you MND +1 and Resist Vs. Light +3

Also it goes for 10k on AH on Shiva server, so not a bad thing to farm once you hit the level 30 range. Basically thats what I did at level 30 for gil was kill Crawlers for Silk Thread, and camped Spiny Spipi as well. Silk Thread goes pretty decently on the AH. Keep the Smooth Stone for a Quest as well as the Crawler Calculus because its a quest item as well.

/welcome and Hello ^^

Hi,

So this is my first post in my new blog and I am excited. As my profile says, I play on FFXI on the Shiva Server. My name is Nindo on there so feel free to send me a tell sometime. I am currently a member of Windurst Cavalry, which is an amazing LS that you should all check out sometime:

Nindo (not short for Nintendo, even though many like to call me that lol), means roughly, "the way of the Ninja" in Japanese. I love everything about Ninjas so I thought it'd make a great name for a character, and its a nickname I even like people to call me in real life. Sadly I discovered how expensive NIN can be in the game so I haven't leveled it very far lol. Hopefully whenever I finally get some gil I can start leveling it up and actually trying it out.

Anyways, I had an idea one day that I'd like to make a blog dedicated to my character Nindo. I love playing her on the game, and have pretty much been addicted to it for over 9 months now. Infact my first date with my boyfriend who also plays the game, and who sparked my interest in it, was watching him play Besiged on his character. I feel in love with the game from that very moment. So of course come Christmas, I got the game and have been playing ever since. He plays as RDM and I loved how that job class worked out so I decided to try it myself. Now its the job I love, of course next to PLD my 2nd love.

As of right now, my job classes are the following:
RDM 61, BLM 32, WHM 36, PLD 21, THF 16, WAR 13, NIN 9, DNC 6, MNK 6, SMN 5, SAM 5

So my plan is I'd like to make posts as my roleplay of Nindo. Basically trying to explain where I think she came from, and just roke-playing some of the things I do in the game. But I'd also like to make posts as from just me, the person behind Nindo. I want to share the different things I love doing such as NM camping, missions, leveling up my favorite jobs, and even vent some the things I dont love so much :P. I also want to try and give advice and tips and basically just things I have learned over time and from experienced players. Thanks for reading my blog and I can't want to start posting.
